This book came out originally in 1918 and is now public domain. You can download your complimentary copy in PDF-format right here. It’s a classic that has inspired tens of thousands of marketers.
2. Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples
John Caples is the copywriter that wrote one of the most successful headlines of all times in the 1920’s: “They laughed when I sat down at the piano. But when I started to play!”. It’s a fantastic guide to how to create advertising that works through proven tested methods. Required reading. Read more about it at Amazon.
3. Getting everything you can out of all you’ve got by Jay Abraham

I have been a huge Jay Abraham fan for many years and own pretty much all of his work. In terms of marketing and business strategy this a great place to start for any marketer. This gem of a book is a great, tightly edited introduction to the wisdoms of Jay Abraham. Read more about it at Amazon.com
4. Robert Cialdini - Influence
Last but not least… one of the best works on advertising and salesmanship. Cialdini guides you from a psychological perspective why we become persuaded to buy things and boils it down to easy to understand principles. A classic. You have reminded me that I have never read the John Caples books.
Claude Hopkins Scientific Advertising may be hard going in places but you can certainly see his influence on Jay Abraham’s thinking throughout.
